Invisalign® Aligners: An Amazing Innovation in Orthodontics

Invisalign treatment is just what the name denotes: it’s a virtually invisible way to align your teeth. This system takes advantage of advanced 3D computer imaging technology to show you your entire treatment plan from beginning to end.

Each aligner is custom-designed to fit your bite and slowly shift it into its proper positioning. These aligners are made of a dental grade thermoplastic material which was created specifically for Invisalign orthodontics. They are strong but so thin and clear that it will be very difficult for others to notice you are wearing them. Most patients do not notice any difference in their speech patterns either.

Unlike with traditional braces, there are no food restrictions with Invisalign aligners. That’s because they are removable. While you eat, simply take out the aligner and put it in a protective case. You can also take it out while you perform your oral hygiene routine, which enables easier and more thorough daily cleaning.

Every six to eight weeks, you will be given a few new aligners, each of which you will change out every two weeks. Unlike braces, Invisalign aligners can control not just the amount of movement but the timing of it, allowing for greater efficiency. The length of your treatment depends upon the complexity of your malocclusion. Ask Dr. Michael Kesner for more specifics.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule an Invisalign consultation, you can call Made Ya Smile Dental in Katy or Rayford, Texas. Let us share this amazing new technology to perfect your smile and increase the quality of your life.
