Porcelain Veneers Reviews
"Great dentists and the staff are so sweet. I’ve been so afraid of dentists for the longest time after a bad experience. But Made Ya Smile made me feel comfortable and at ease. Had my infected teeth pulled and doing great. Can’t wait for implants & veneers! Love this dentist! I would highly recommend them - esp to anyone who has a fear of dentists. 😉"- M.M. / Google / Jul 26, 2018
"The equipment is top notch and the practice is big and busy so don't expect to see the same people over and over. That said everyone is friendly and the dentists seem good. They do like to push high ticket items (veneers and Invisalign) and their cost is a bit higher but that said I feel like my teeth are well looked after and they are careful about staying in top of any possible issues."- J.C. / Google / Nov 02, 2017
"Nice kind and friendly personnel. I have been going to Kuykendahl location since they opened. My cleanings, caps, Veneers and Invisalign have all been at this same location. I have had great results on all procedures."- J.R. / Google / Aug 02, 2019
"I just got my Lumineers today, I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome, would absolutely choose this location, the friendly staff are welcoming, and amazing at what they do."- C.W. / Google / Aug 31, 2020
"They were able to help me when no one else would. I had an emergency root canal done. I couldn’t afford the entire price of that plus the build up and crown. They worked with me to where I paid for the root canal, and then I scheduled the rest of the payment on the following payday. I have my temporary crown on and am waiting for the lab to send my permanent one. I had my teeth cleaned last Friday and I’ve never been happier. The hygienist was super nice and very thorough. The facility itself is very clean, welcoming, and organized. The staff are very nice and have a great chairside manner. Yes, they do Lumineers in that office but I have not once felt pressured in to purchasing them."- M.F. / Google / Aug 31, 2018
Who Is a Candidate for Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are customized to match your individual smile and cosmetic concerns. These aesthetic restorations can mask cosmetic flaws, like misshapen or uneven teeth, tooth stains or discoloration, slightly misaligned teeth, small spaces between teeth, and chipped or worn biting edges. Porcelain veneers are often placed in sets of two or more on teeth that appear in the smile zone of the mouth. These restorations are custom-crafted to fit over the front surfaces of your teeth. Veneers require a healthy oral environment to be successful and may not be recommended if you have a habit of grinding or clenching your teeth (bruxism). During your treatment consultation, we will evaluate the health of your teeth, gums, and jaw and talk with you to learn all about your preferences and goals for how you want your smile to look. Our cosmetic dentists will design the exact shape, size, and length to best fit your jaw, smile, and facial appearance. We can also help you choose the shade of your porcelain veneers to generate a natural-looking yet highly aesthetic result.
What Is the Porcelain Veneers Process?
Porcelain veneers offer a minimally invasive approach to smile repair. On the day of your porcelain veneers procedure, our doctors will administer local anesthetic if needed to keep you comfortable. We begin by removing a small portion of the enamel on the front surfaces and between the teeth where your veneers will be placed. This creates the space necessary for a comfortable and aesthetic fit. Impressions of your mouth will then be taken and sent to our lab for the fabrication of your restorations. Our lab uses only high-grade porcelain to create your custom veneers. Your veneers will take about a week or two to make so in the meantime, we will place temporary restorations to hold their place and maintain function and appearance for your smile. Once your veneers are finished and sent to our office, we will bring you back in and bond them permanently in place. Our dentists will make any adjustments needed for a comfortable bite and polish your new smile for a smooth, bright, and natural-looking finish.
Recovery After Porcelain Veneers
Having porcelain veneers placed does not typically require much of a recovery period, and you should be able to go about your normal routine that day. If you received anesthetic for your procedure, you should wait to eat until the feeling fully returns to your mouth. You may notice a little tooth sensitivity to cold and hot temperatures in the few days after your procedure; however, this should resolve. By nature, porcelain veneers tend to be stain-resistant. But to keep your smile white and bright, it may be a good idea to minimize your consumption of foods and beverages that may cause staining. Porcelain veneers are highly durable, but we urge you to avoid chewing on ice, pens, fingernails, or other hard objects as this could damage your porcelain restorations. You can care for your porcelain veneers just like your natural tooth structure by brushing and flossing thoroughly each day. At your bi-annual cleaning and checkup visits at Made Ya Smile Dental, our dentists will evaluate your veneers and let you know if they need to be repaired or replaced over time. With proper care, your porcelain veneers can last for many years.
Are Porcelain Veneers Covered by Insurance?
Porcelain veneers are typically regarded as a cosmetic procedure. As such, your dental insurance may not provide much coverage for this treatment. To be certain, we will contact your provider to learn about your coverage benefits. Any out-of-pocket expenses will be reviewed before starting your procedure. Made Ya Smile Dental offers several convenient methods of payment to help make cosmetic dental care more affordable, including low-interest financing plans. We can also work with you and help you find financial solutions that fit comfortably within your budget.
